Dancing into 2025 with the Arts and Cultural Organizations that Power Communities

Side of Culture had a great year in 2024 and we are excited about the opportunities developing for 2025. Looking back, we published a total of 44 articles on places and cultural organizations that are making a difference in their communities. We have welcomed almost 24,000 visitors to the website and received well over 400,000 impressions on our social channels of Pinterest, FB, Instagram, and now LinkedIn.

Our stories in 2024 covered a broad array of cultural organizations with a focus on house museums and gardens ranging from Pennsylvania’s Longwood Gardens to Manitoga in New York. New and unusual art was the highlight of stories about the Bally Foundation on Lake Lugano and the Wisconsin- based Kohler Foundation and the Borscht Belt Museum in the Catskills.

San Francisco’s City Lights Bookstore, Washington D.C.’s Folger Library, the Yiddish Book Center in Massachusetts and the Morgan Library in New York highlighted literary places. The articles on new museums included those dedicated to Broadway,  the Academy, to Presidential families and administrations in the White House, and to the Cahuillo people of Palm Springs. Reflective articles on the changing role of America’s docents and the importance of the arts to our communities showed that we also take a step back to get some perspective on important cultural themes and memes.  Thank you for reading and being a part of Side of Culture.
